This bespoke edition reimagines backgammon as a sculptural allegory of chance and will, continuing Yoom’s exploration of opposing realms as metaphors for humanity’s unfolding story.
Surreal miniature checkers traverse a meticulously engraved board whose pearlescent details catch light like distant stars. Custom dice rewrite the rules with every cast, and a tailored metal stand elevates the set into a standalone objet d’art. “Backgammon carries a raw energy — a fusion of risk, tempo and thrill that flows into the player,” Yoom explains, underscoring his vision of play as both a functional pastime and a vivid artistic expression.
Limited to just 21 sets, each Backgammon Set is handcrafted using photopolymer 3D printing fused with traditional molding, sculpting, polymer casting and hand-applied acrylic paint.
