DJI has announced the launch of the Mic 3, a compact and ultralight wireless microphone that expands the brand’s OsmoAudio ecosystem with powerful performance upgrades. Weighing just 16 grams, the discreet transmitter supports up to four transmitters and eight receivers at once, making it ideal for multi-camera productions, interviews and group recordings. A major first for the series, Mic 3 introduces adaptive gain control that dynamically balances audio or prevents clipping, alongside three voice tone presets: Regular, Rich and Bright and two-level active noise cancelling.
Creators benefit from 32 GB of internal storage with dual-file 32-bit float recording, ensuring both original and enhanced tracks are preserved. The transmitter also embeds high-precision timecode for seamless syncing in post-production. With a 400-meter range, automatic frequency hopping and an average charging power of 850 kW, the Mic 3 is built for demanding environments from concerts to trade shows. Battery life stretches to eight hours on the transmitters and 10 on the receiver, with the charging case extending usage to 28 hours.
Available now starting at €199 EUR $232 USD, the DJI Mic 3 works natively with DJI’s Osmo lineup and connects via Bluetooth, USB-C, or 3.5mm ports for broader compatibility. It will also make its offline debut at IFA Berlin from September 5–9, 2025.
