  • Ferrari’s highly anticipated first fully electric vehicle is slated to begin reaching customers in October 2026
  • CEO Benedetto Vigna confirms that the core technology powering Ferrari’s EV will be unveiled on October 9, 2025
  • Ferrari will maintain its commitment to producing and selling internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid models

Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated first fully electric vehicle from the iconic Italian automaker will begin deliveries in October 2026. This announcement came during the company’s first-quarter earnings call, where they also reported a strong 15% increase in core earnings and maintained their financial outlook for the year.

While the EV’s arrival is set for late 2026, Ferrari plans to offer a preview of its core technology much earlier. The “technological heart” of their debut electric model will be unveiled during Ferrari’s Capital Markets Day, scheduled for October 9, 2025. This suggests that the company will first showcase the powertrain and key technical innovations that will underpin their EV.

Despite this significant step into the electric vehicle market, Ferrari has emphasized that it will continue to produce and sell its traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid models. This indicates a strategic approach to cater to a diverse range of preferences and navigate the evolving automotive landscape with a multi-powertrain strategy. The company recently unveiled new plug-in hybrid models and has plans to launch a total of six new vehicles in 2025, signaling a dynamic period of innovation and expansion for the brand.
