Byredo and Benoit Lalloz Reunite for "Infra Luna 2.0" Lamp
The candle warmer now comes in a new hue inspired by the bodies of insects.
Following the success of its first iteration, Byredo has teamed up with French designer Benoit Lalloz to create the “Infra Luna 2.0” – a multi-sensorial lamp that works in conjunction with the brand’s candles.
Similar to the 1.0 version, Infra Luna 2.0 allows the scent of Byredo candles to be dispersed without lighting the wick. A slot at the bottom of the lamp is the perfect size for the brand’s instantly recognizable smoked black glass votive, which is then heated by a suspended halogen lamp.
For the new version, Lalloz worked with Byredo Founder and Creative Director Ben Gorham to develop new shades. Inspired by the shimmering bodies of insects, the pink-toned hue is paired with a colorful cord. In addition, the original color combination – natural aluminum with a green cord – will be reissued, and will become a permanent addition to the “Byredo Byproduct” collection.
Sharing his experience of using the lamp, Lalloz said: “At night, when the lamp quietly watches over the studio, it softly releases its delicate scent and gentle glow. I sometimes hear faint vibrations, evoking the presence of a ghost. Invisible but ever- present, it orchestrates a harmony of sensations that resonate with those who are open to it. Maybe that’s what it means to possess a soul.”
Infra Luna 2.0 was first unveiled at the Matter and Shape design salon in Paris, which took place from 7 to 10 March 2025. It retails for €2,500 (approximately $2,697 USD) and is available in select stores worldwide and online at Byredo.com from April 24.
