As the week in music comes to a close, Hypebeast has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.
New albums come in from d4vd, DESTIN CONRAD, Ray Vaughn, Coco Jones, Niontay and Samia as well as an expanded version of Shaboozey‘s latest LP.
Singles stem from the likes of Lorde, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, redveil, Kali Uchis, Megan Thee Stallion and PinkPantheress with collabs coming from Young Thug x Future, Anwar Carrots x Benny The Butcher x Maxo Kream and Flume x JPEGMAFIA.
d4vd – WITHERED
d4vd has made his official longform debut. Arriving on the heels of his first-ever Coachella set comes WITHERED, which spans 15 tracks and includes just one feature – from Kali Uchis, who also has a release on this week’s BNT list.
DESTIN CONRAD – LOVE ON DIGITAL
After unveiling a diverse triad of singles – “KISSING IN PUBLIC,” “DELUSIONAL,” and “THE LAST TIME” with Teezo Touchdown – DESTIN CONRAD has officially revealed his newest LP. LOVE ON DIGITAL marks CONRAD’s first-ever studio album.
Young Thug x Future – “Money on Money”
Young Thug is officially back. Thugger linked up with Future for his first studio release since being locked up, a dynamic, dual-minded track dubbed “Money on Money.” The high-octane song – which ushers in the UY Scuti rollout as the album’s lead single – also comes with a music video.
Coco Jones – Why Not More?
Also making her long-form debut this week is Coco Jones, who has lifted the veil on her first studio album entitled Why Not More? Standout single “Taste” clocks in at track two, with other features coming from YG Marley on the title track and Future and London on Da Track on “Most Beautiful Design.”
redveil – “square one”
Making the emerging rapper’s first release of the year, redveil has dropped off “square one.” The surprise release follows up “what3ver.”
Lorde – “What Was That”
Lorde summer is upon us. The songstress has stepped back into the spotlight (and the center of Washington Square Park) with her first single since 2021, “What Was That,” which also arrives alongside a NYC-shot music video.
Kali Uchis – “ILYSMIH”
The second single lifted from Kali Uchis’ imminent studio album, “ILYSMIH” follows up “Sunshine & Rain…” in release and on the album tracklist, landing as the final track.
Megan Thee Stallion – ”Whenever”
“Whenever” marks Megan Thee Stallion’s first release of the new year as well as her first release since MEGAN II. The new single also arrives in tandem with a cinematic music video.
Niontay – Fada<3of$
Rising rapper Niontay has unveiled his Fada<3of$ studio project. The album comes equipped with contributions from Tony Seltzer, dj blackpower, and SURF GANG and guest features from Mavi, El Cousteau, Sideshow, and Jadasea.
PinkPantheress – “Stateside”
As PinkPantheress’ forthcoming Fancy That mixtape nears, the pop princess has presented another single from the project. “Stateside” arrives on the heels of lead single “Tonight.”
Ray Vaughn – The Good The Bad The Dollar Menu
After racking up a handful of Top Dawg Entertainment credits, Ray Vaughn has ventured into the longform, offering up his first-ever full-length mixtape: The Good The Bad The Dollar Menu. TDE labelmates Isaiah Rashad and Jay Rock contribute along with Samara Cyn, Ashley Leone, Sydney Leona and LaRussell.
Flume x JPEGMAFIA – “Track 1”
Not yet out on streaming services, Flume and JPEGMAFIA reconnected for “Track 1,” a hip-hop-infused electronic cut accompanied by a seven-minute animated visual.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony – “AWW SHIT”
For the first time in 20 years, all five members of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have gotten back in the studio together. The legendary group has dropped off new single “AWW SHIT” which includes individual verses from Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, Layzie Bone, Flesh-n-Bone and Krayzie Bone.
Anwar Carrots x Benny The Butcher x Maxo Kream – “Phone Ring”
Designer Anwar Carrots’ second single is here and it’s just as stacked with features as the first. Following up “Mud” with Kalan.Frfr, Bun B and UnoTheActivist comes “Phone Ring,” with features assistance from Benny The Butcher and Maxo Kream.
Samia – Bloodless
Her first album since Honey, Samia’s Bloodless is another ethereal studio delivery. The 13-track LP includes singles “Bovine Extension,” “Hole In A Frame,” “Lizard,” “Carousel,” and “Pants.”
Shaboozey – Where I’ve Been Isn’t Where I’m Going: The Complete Edition
Shaboozey isn’t quite done with his acclaimed Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going. The genre-bending star has expanded upon last year’s LP with the album’s Complete Edition, which includes a lineup of new tracks and features.
