Japan's All-female Wrestling League, Sukeban, is Coming Back to the U.S.
Taking place during Miami Art Basel on December 3 at the Miami Beach Bandshell.
Japanese all-women wrestling league Sukeban will return to Miami this December for a World Championship match during Art Basel, marking the league’s second appearance in the city and its latest stop in six-show run of consecutive sold-out events across New York, Los Angeles, London, Berlin and Miami.
The main event will see champion Atomic Banshee of the Vandals defend her title against Ichigo Sayaka, the leader of the Harajuku Stars – a matchup that brings two of the league’s most popular performers face-to-face, and two of its biggest factions into direct opposition. It continues Sukeban’s approach to the sport, where it frames wrestling as a narrative-driven universe built around character identity, rivalry and style.
