Luke Fracher Opens Second Luke's Location in Los Angeles

Luke Fracher likes to describe his eponymous high-end aftermarket clothing shop as a “barbershop,” a place where customers can come chop it up about their interests and hobbies while perusing the wares. That friendly, welcoming atmosphere — combined with a deluge of playful social media content — has seen the first Luke’s location in New York’s Lower East Side become a must-stop due to its unique vibe and selection of aftermarket goods from rare Louis Vuitton to 1985 Air Jordan 1s.

Now, Fracher is taking his operation bi-coastal, opening a shop on Los Angeles’ famed Melrose Ave. Though the space is larger than the New York location, it retains the same down-home feel that provides a compelling contrast to its high-end goods, and, of course, an opportunity to catch the man himself in his shop.

We have way better sh*t than everybody else,” Fracher told Hypebeast in a November 2023 interview about his original store. “We have the best selection in the world. I haven’t seen another store that consistently gets as much good stuff as us. That’s not even on me. That’s on my customers and the people that support me. I try my best to democratize this world and make it accessible to people. Whether it’s your first piece of high-end clothing or your 50th, you can feel comfortable talking, asking as many questions as you want or trying on a bunch of stuff. I don’t want people to feel pressured in here.”
