A Toledano & Chan B/1 Piece Heads to Sotheby’s New York Important Watches Auction
Featuring a copper-infused carbon fiber build.

Toledano & Chan’s debut B/1 timepiece was officially released last week and was all sold out on its website in under an hour. Following this success, the watch brand has now revealed another exciting iteration of its sold-out timepiece. Linking up with Sotheby’s this time around, Toledano & Chan crafts a piece unique B/1 wristwatch that will be put up for sale at the upcoming Important Watches auction in New York.
Overall, this special edition remains synonymous with the aesthetics and functionality of the original B/1 timepiece. It comes in a distinctly asymmetric shape that references a window from the Whitney Museum building in Manhattan, as designed by Brutalist architect Marcel Breuer. From case, dial to bracelet, the timepiece is composed of copper-infused carbon fiber, giving it a striking look with unique flecks and striations.
What sets this apart from the previous model is not only its noticeably different build. This unique edition boasts a smaller case diameter, measuring 31mm as opposed to 33.5mm. Just like the original launch, this piece also comes with a “concrete” box case that echoes the silhouette of the watch case.
This one-of-a-kind Toledano & Chan B/1 wristwatch is listed as lot 79 and is set to go under the hammer along with Sylvester Stallone’s personal watch collection at the Important Watches auction. The auction is set to take place at Sotheby’s New York location on June 5. For more information, head over to the auction house’s special webpage.
