OREO has partnered with Lucasfilm to bring fans a new, out-of-this-world treat: the Special Edition Star Wars OREO Cookies. The iconic chocolate sandwich cookies now come in two distinct versions, each representing a side of the Force: dark side cookies with red creme and light side cookies with blue creme. The anticipation builds as you won’t know which side you’ve received until you open the pack, adding an element of surprise to the unboxing experience.
Each pack features characters embossed in the chocolate. Dark side packs showcase characters like Darth Vader, Darth Maul and a stormtrooper, while light side packs depict Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Princess Leia and more. In total, 20 characters appear on the cookies, with 10 characters repeating across both versions. The creme is infused with “kyber” sugar crystals, inspired by the crystals found in a Lightsaber, adding a unique texture and flavor. To make the packaging extra special, the artwork is based on original paintings by Greg Hildebrandt, a renowned Star Wars artist since 1977.
The new Star Wars OREOs will be available for presale online starting May 30. The cookies will also begin rolling out at retailers nationwide on June 10, available while supplies last.
