Japanese label nanamica worked with Copenhagen-based photographers Anthony Thomas and Theophilos Constantinou on a new photo-book centered around the beauty of nature and the threats of climate change.

Entitled Slow Collapse, Thomas and Constantinou sought to create a series that emphasized humanity’s coexistence with the natural world. Naturally, Japan became a fitting country for their series, as four-fifths of the nation’s geography is mountainous, coupled with 4,000 smaller islands. At the core of the book is an emphasis on “the regenerative capacity of the ocean and the tension existing between relationship between humans and nature,” according to nanamica, who was a fitting collaborator with the photographers, as the label’s ethos subscribes to: One Ocean, All Lands.

For those looking to purchase, the book is only available via nanamica’s physical storefront in Japan, as well as online for $29 USD. Complementing the release are two tees made using COOLMAX cotton fabric, each featuring a different photo from the series.
