Yohji Yamamoto To Present ‘Letter to the Future’ in Milan
The renowned designer’s first-ever exhibition in the city.

The upcoming Yohji Yamamoto exhibition, titled Letter to the Future, is set to be held at 10 Corso Como in Milan. This event marks the first major showcase of Yamamoto’s work in Italy, featuring a thoughtful selection of his iconic designs that have profoundly influenced the fashion industry. Celebrated for his innovative use of the color black and unique garment construction, Yamamoto’s work will be curated by Alessio de’ Navasques, a well-known curator and professor at the Sapienza University of Rome.
The exhibition will include a blend of Yamamoto’s classic runway pieces alongside his recent and future collections, emphasizing his ongoing influence on modern fashion aesthetics. Designed as a cohesive installation within the industrial yet ethereally reimagined space of the Corso Como Gallery, the setting aims to complement Yamamoto’s design philosophy, which centers on the dynamic interplay between body and space.
Visitors to the gallery will experience an environment that reflects the essence of Yohji Yamamoto’s artistic vision, where each piece communicates a dialogue about time, form and aesthetic evolution. The exhibition will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., starting May 16 and concluding on July 31 with free admission.
