A24 Reveals Debut Trailer for ‘MaXXXine’
Where Mia Goth’s character battles a serial killer on her journey to stardom.
A24 has finally revealed the trailer for its new horror film MaXXXine led by Mia Goth. Written and directed by Ti West, the film concludes the filmmaker’s horror trilogy that was preceded by X and the prequel film Pearl, which were both released in 2022.
Set in the 1980s, the upcoming film follows Mia Goth’s new character, Maxine Minx, who ventures to Hollywood to become a superstar. As an adult film star and aspiring actress, Minx uses the opportunities available to her to reach closer to stardom. However, her plight is not so simple as a serial killer on the loose threatens starlets in Los Angeles. But beyond bloody murder, the serial killer a.k.a. The Nightstalker threatens to reveal past secrets about Minx.
Alongside Mia Goth, the horror film stars Elizabeth Debicki, Halsey, Lily Collins, Kevin Bacon, Michelle Monaghan, Moses Sumney, Bobby Cannavale and Giancarlo Esposito. The new film adds to A24’s roster of horror films including Talk To Me, It Comes at Night, Bodies Bodies Bodies, Hereditary, High Life, The Monster, Lamb, Midsommar, The Witch and more.
