Stunning 1991 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer Surfaces for Auction

A stunning example of a 1991 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer Vehicle Design has surfaced for auction via RM Sotheby’s. The vehicle comes to life as part of the restomod group’s “Classic Study” series, which resulted from the maker asking itself the question “What if the DNA of this iconic sports car was reimagined for the twenty-first century?”
The particular example in question, known as the “San Juan Commission,” stands out as a testament to Singer’s craftsmanship and attention to detail. Inspired by the vibrant and exotic character of Puerto Rico’s capital, this car combines the familiar with the extraordinary. From its Grand Prix White and Singer Racing Green exterior — a nod to the iconic 2.7 Carrera RS — to its upgraded chassis, every aspect of this vehicle has been carefully considered.
At the heart of the San Juan Commission is a hand-built, 4.0L, flat-six engine by Ed Pink Racing Engines, delivering 390 hp and 315 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain allows the car to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under 3.3 seconds. Complementing this performance is a six-speed manual transmission, chosen to deliver a driving experience that is engaging and pure.
The interior is equally as impressive, featuring Recaro sport seats upholstered in a unique blend of leathers, Alcantara suedes and vibrant stitching that echoes the car’s exterior color scheme. Singer’s meticulous attention to detail extends to the carbon fiber dashboard, lightweight door cards and a modern air conditioning system, among other bespoke touches.
This one-off example by Singer, featuring only 25 miles driven since restoration at the time of writing, is estimated to close for as high as $1,500,000 USD during RM Sotheby’s upcoming ModaMiami auction.
