Netflix has officially dropped the first teaser for the upcoming Robert De Niro limited series Zero Day.

De Niro plays a former U.S. president by the name of George Mullen, who is pulled out of retirement to investigate the nationwide cyberattack. The teaser trailer immediately sets the tone for the series, as the George Mullen is on high alert. From the get go, Mullen shows concern over the events unfolded, anxious of what the cyberattack could mean for the country and the world. In the beginning of the trailer, George Mullen can be heard saying, “Three thousand, four-hundred, two people died on Zero Day. Plane crashes, train derailments. Total chaos.” The respected former U.S. President George Mullen, who is charged with finding the perpetrators of the cyberattack, is the head of the Zero Day Commission. He is expected to find the reason behind the issue that has caused chaos and thousands of fatalities around the country. As disinformation runs rampant, Mullen’s search for the truth becomes more difficult as personal objectives amongst Wall Street, tech bros and the government collide.

The series stars Angela Bassett, Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen, Connie Britton, Matthew Modine, Dan Stevens, Bill Camp, Gaby Hoffmann and Clark Gregg alongside De Niro. The trailer catches glimpses of Plemons and Bassett’s character as she tells Mullen, “People believe what they need to believe. The truth is the truth, but it’s not always the most important thing.”
