Performing “Alesis” and “ROCKMAN.”
Mk.gee is readying to close out his breakout year, marked by milestones including his acclaimed debut album Two Star & The Dream Police and a sold-out world tour in support of the album. The enigmatic New Jersey-based musician continued his major 2024 with his Saturday Night Live debut, taking to the New York City stage as this past weekend’s musical guest, joining host Bill Burr to perform two of his standout songs.
He first took the SNL stage to deliver a performance of standout Two Star & The Dream Police cut “Alesis.”
For his second song, Mk.gee performed his most recent post-Two Star single, “ROCKMAN.” Fellow musicians Zack Sekoff and Andrew Aged joined him on stage to accompany with backing instrumentals. Stream both performances in the YouTube videos below.
Mk.gee’s Saturday Night Live Season 50 appearance catches him in the middle of his current sold-out global tour, with imminent stops in Australia next month.
Since the release of the album, the tour has been Mk.gee’s main focus as opposed to releasing new music, having released just two new singles since the LP’s drop: “ROCKMAN” and August’s “Lonely Night.”
