“This collection is really what the word collaboration means,” the Swedish designer told Hypebeast.

Stockholm-based designer Gustaf Westman has been spending a lot of time in New York City as of late. Last month, the kaleidoscopic artist took over KidSuper’s gallery space with a pop-up exhibition aptly titled Gustaf Westman in New York, in which he showcased all of his playful objects and furniture pieces, including his new 3D-printed Puzzle Shelf, on a twisting-and-turning, pink-orange runway. Over the last weekend, Westman returned to the Big Apple to launch a new collaboration with New York-based design house and glass-blowing collective Home in HEVEN, filled with all sorts of holiday designs inspired by Westman’s classic colors and curves. The duo presented the line at Home in HEVEN’s East Village flagship, and it’s now available to shop online in full.

“This collection is really what the word collaboration means I guess,” Westman told Hypebeast. “It’s really two different artists and styles that are meeting. Home in HEVEN has made its interpretation of my design by using my signature shapes and their signature add-ons.” Those interpretations span plates, cups, wine glasses and holiday ornaments — all of which operate on the cheery pastel color palette that Westman is known for. Standouts include the Chunky Vase Stripe, which sets a bulky glass vase inside a tubular saucer, and the Spiral Ornament, or a hand-blown orb circled by a bright pink stripe. Elsewhere, Westman’s signature swirls take over chunky plates, blop cups and Saturn-inspired ornaments, which can also double as delicate bag charms, as pictured on the designer’s Instagram.

“16 new limited objects! All handblown in Seattle,” he wrote on social media with a smiley face.

Outside of his work obligations, Westman admits he has fallen in love with New York City over the last several months. “Running by the West Side Highway in the morning is really beautiful, and I love all the trendy wine bars,” he explains. Now, he’s toying with the idea of making a more permanent mark there. “I actually went on a tour looking for spaces,” he revealed. Who knows? Maybe you’ll see a Gustaf Westman flagship opening in New York City sooner thank you think.

In the meantime, Westman’s Home in HEVEN collection is now available to shop on the designer’s webstore, with prices ranging from €75 EUR to €1,665 EUR. Take a look at the designs in the gallery above.
