Beanies Turn Into Bags Across Mr. Bailey and côte&ciel's Debut Collaboration
Reimagining Mr. Bailey’s trademark accessory.
Rising London-based creative Mr. Bailey has become synonymous with inventive design concepts that transcend time and space. While previously joining adidas for futuristic footwear collaborations, he is expanding his partnerships catalog by uniting with minimalistic accessories label côte&ciel.
The collection explores côte&ciel accessories archive spanning 15 years, honoring Creative Director Emilie Arnault and her contributions to ultra-modern design ideals. Mr. Bailey scavenges his own wardrobe for inspiration, reimagining his classic dark aesthetic with côte&ciel’s renowned techniques. The familiar winter beanie is an ideal canvas, featuring a technical construction, folded edges, and a geometric cap for a sculptural fit.
The accessory is reinterpreted into a crossbody bag with similar outlines, blown up to resemble a jumbo-sized hat in waterproof casing. Dubbed the “ORNE PLUS,” Mr. Bailey and côte&ciel’s collaboration will be released in limited numbers this summer. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.
