Despite being around for three decades, the classic puzzle game Tetris is still able to amaze and capture the attention with its mystery. Taking on the challenge of “beating Tetris,” competitive Tetris player Blue Scuti recently played the game on NES and achieved the fabled game over “kill screen.”

The 13-year-old is now the first human to achieve the feat that had only previously been accomplished by AI. After 38 minutes of impressive continuous play, Blue Scuti saw the screen freeze and the music come to a halt. “Oh my God” exclaimed the gamer, “Yes! I’m gonna pass out. I can’t feel my fingers. I can’t feel my hands.” For those unaware, Blue Scuti used the “rolling” technique, a revolutionary method that hit the Tetris scene back in 2021 that utilizes a way of holding the controller for faster inputs.

Watch Blue Scuti become the first human to “beat” Tetris on NES above.
