Disney Turns Exclusive Club 33 into Feature Film

Disney is set to transform their exclusive Club 33 into a feature film. The members-only dining club, nestled in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square near the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, has been a coveted spot for Disney fans since 1967. The movie will bring this secretive world to the big screen, produced by Shawn Levy, the director behind Deadpool and Wolverine, along with Dan Levine and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps Entertainment.
The film, penned by Darren Lemke, centers on Kim, a young aspiring detective in present-day New York. She receives a mysterious invite to Club 33, a magical dining club that transcends time and space. The club’s members include historical geniuses, royalty, and iconic figures. When a murder occurs, Kim is called upon to solve the mystery. The film is expected to capture the whimsical and adventurous spirit of Levy’s Night at the Museum series.
Club 33, originally envisioned by Walt Disney as an executive lounge inspired by the 1964 New York World’s Fair, will be depicted as a fantastical place filled with intrigue and historical characters. This project is part of Disney’s broader strategy to adapt its theme park attractions into movies, following the success of franchises like Pirates of the Caribbean and the recent Jungle Cruise.
