Watch Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Return to WWE 'Smackdown'
Dropping the People’s Elbow once again.
During the recent episode of WWE‘s Friday Night Smackdown, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson surprised fans by making his return to the ring. The broadcast started with sports analyst and former Smackdown commentator Pat McAfee opening the show with WWE superstar Austin Theory. A heated back-and-forth between the two led Theory to claim that Smackdown would be renamed “Austin Theory Live.”
Following McAfee’s refutation of the claim, The Rock’s classic “If You Smell” entrance theme started to play. The Rock made his way out to fan cheers engaging Austin Theory with his “Finally!” catchphrase. Getting the crowd involved, The Rocky antagonized Theory to the point of throwing blows. Defending himself the beloved wrestler-turned-actor hit a spinebuster and delivered the People’s Elbow setting exciting the entire stadium.
