Founded in 1920 by Hans Riegel, Haribo is best known for its colorful Goldbears Gummi Candy often hailed as the first gummy in the world. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Goldbears, Vans works with the historic sweets company to create an expansive collection of special-edition footwear and apparel.

The lineup consists of an extensive list of items for kids including classic Slip-Ons and snapback caps as well as four items for adults including the Old Skool V “Yellow Checkerboard” featuring gummy bear-shaped graphics on patent leather, and Sk8-Hi “Haribo Black” decorated with the Haribo tagline “Kids and grown-ups love it so, the happy world of Haribo” which is written in ten different languages on the quarter panels.

A black fleece pullover is adorned with large gummy graphics and stylized logos, and rounding out the assortment is a sky blue hoodie in wavy checkerboard prints with “NET WT 66 OZ” references to Haribo’s packaging.

“On the heels of celebrating the 100th anniversary of Haribo Goldbears, we’re thrilled to partner with Vans and honored to have inspired this special collection,” said Andreas Kuhnle, Senior Vice President, Corporate Global Marketing, Haribo. “Haribo is about moments of childlike happiness and fun, helping fans feel like a kid in a candy store through our range of sweet treats. The colorful Vans x Haribo collection is inspiring that same feeling, and now our fandoms can come together in creative self-exploration and joy.”

The Vans x Haribo collection will be available April 6, 2023 via Vans’ website and select retail locations.
