Adult Swim's Toonami Set to Air 'One Piece,' 'Dragon Ball Z,' and 'Toriko' Crossover
Never before aired in North America.
Toei Animation recently shared that Adult Swim‘s Toonami programming block will be airing a crossover between One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, and Toriko. The crossover is the 590th episode of One Piece that follows Episode 492, which saw a crossover between One Piece and Toriko. Never before aired in North America, Toonami jumped from Episode 589 to 591 this past October.
Episode 590 of One Piece came as a one-hour special with Toriko’s 99th episode that aired in Japan in April 2013. It is currently unclear if the episode airing on Toonami this week will be in Japanese with English subtitles or simply dubbed in English.
Titled “History’s Strongest Collaboration vs. Glutton of the Sea,” the episode centers around the IGO tournament for the Carat meat and features appearances from characters of all series. A playful luncheon ends up being interrupted and leads to an epic battle involving Luffy, Goku, and Toriko.
The crossover Episode 590 of One Piece will be airing on Adult Swim’s Toonami March 4, 1 a.m. EDT with another episode of One Piece scheduled to follow immediately after at 1:30 a.m. EDT.
