New Balance Tints the 9060 Silhouette in a Trio of Cool Pastel Tones
The new pack features winter-ready “Mushroom,” “Arctic Grey” and “Magnet” colorways.
Amongst its seasonal sneaker releases, New Balance highlights the 9060 as a must-have silhouette with a variety of new iterations. In its latest drop, the brand releases a three-piece pack that finds the web-soled model dressed in subdued pastel tones.
While the 9060 has undergone a range of colorful makeovers this year, the new pack takes a new approach from its typical white sole and color-paneled upper by washing the sneaker from top to bottom in variations of one block tone. This all-over color arrangement brings the focus of the design to the striking silhouette, in a similar fashion to GANNI’s latest collaboration.
Within the pack, one model adopts a light pink-brown “Mushroom” tone dispersed across the overlay, laces, tongue and midsole whilst a “Dark Mushroom” accents the heel tip. On another, the brand coats the outer in “Arctic Grey,” giving the appearance of a deeper pastel blue. These upper panels are met with a “Vintage Indigo” on the midsole and a lateral logo in “Steel.”
The final sneaker in the pack presents a darker version of the “Arctic Grey” iteration. It features plush suede panels in “Magnet” stacked on top of a midsole tinted in the brand’s signature “Castlerock.” Across the three models, branding, components and other features align with the overall tonal treatment, adding to its bold look.
