Take a First Look at McDonald's 'CosMc's' Spinoff Restaurant
The Illinois restaurant is based on the company’s retired space alien character.
McDonald’s was reported earlier this year to be opening a spinoff restaurant called CosMc’s, according to Food Beast. The restaurant takes its name from the space alien character that appeared throughout the fast food chain’s commercials throughout the 1980s and 90s.
A user on X has now posted a photo of the newly-established CosMc’s, which is billed to offer McDonald’s classics, alongside a roster of totally new food and beverage options.
“The concept is being launched in Bollingbrook, IL,” Iman Jalali wrote on X. “[A] whole new menu of items we’ve never seen before.”
According to Jalali’s photos, the menu will include chai frappes, pear slushies, turmeric spiced latte and berry lemonades. It’ll also be making spicy queso sandwiches and a tomatillo slider, among other food items. The X user observed seeing actors outside of the location filming a commercial, so CosMc’s most likely isn’t fully open to the public just yet.
