Union Glashütte Unveils Limited-Edition Belisar Chronograph Speedster
A nod to 70s vintage cars with an exclusive production of 388 pieces.
German watchmaker Union Glashütte has unveiled its latest timepiece, the limited-edition Belisar Chronograph Speedster, a nod to ’70s-era vintage cars, set to be produced in an exclusive run of 388 pieces.
The watch’s design is a combination of vintage charm and contemporary sophistication. The dial’s electric blue is a direct homage to the car that inspired it. At the same time, the black totalisers echo the vehicle’s black grille, offering a visual contrast and designed to ensure clear readability. The hands are black nickel-plated and coated with Super-LumiNova for increased visibility in low-light conditions — additional details include the white tips on the black chronograph hands.
From a technical standpoint, the Belisar Chronograph Speedster features the UNG-27.S1 automatic movement with an anti-magnetic silicon balance spring. A notable feature is its power reserve of over 65 hours, a testament to the watch’s performance. The dial also includes a date display, with a correction option at the 10 o’clock position.
The watch comes with interchangeable straps in rubber and stainless steel, equipped with a quick-change spring bar, allowing the wearer flexibility in how they would like to dress the watch.
To further accentuate the watch’s status as a limited edition, it comes packaged in a special edition case as well as features unique and specific edition number markers etched on the back of each watch.
Priced at €3,350 EUR or $3,655 USD, the Belisar Chronograph Speedster Limited Edition is available now via select retailers, as listed on its official site.
