Timex and French creative brand seconde/ seconde/ have unveiled the latest watches in its series “IYKYK” which playfully pays homage to iconic timepiece nicknames. The latest release, Episodes 5 and 6, mark the end of the series.

Past releases, each limited to an edition of 500 examples, have introduced timepieces that nod to nicknames like the Batman and Pepsi in Episodes 1 and 2, as well as the Hulk and Coke in Episodes 3 and 4.

This last release, albeit sold out at the time of writing, completes the collection with Episode 5, a 38mm 70s Q Timex and Episode 6, a 40mm M79 Automatic.

Episode 5, the 38mm 70s Q Timex features a two-tone stainless steel and gold-colored bracelet, a rotating bezel colored orange and cream, as well as a brown dial that features a custom root beer mug seconds hand — undoubtedly a nod to the Root Beer nickname.

As for Episode 6, the 40mm M79 Automatic, it features an all-stainless steel finish on both the bracelet and bezel, with a complementary white dial that displays a customized seconds hand expressed as a penguin, which as you guessed, is an acknowledgment of the Penguin nickname.

Prior to selling out, Episodes 5 and 6 were priced at Regular $220 and $345 USD respectively. The complete collaborative collection by Timex and seconde/seconde/ can be viewed via the watchmaker’s official site.

Elsewhere in watches, Grand Seiko attires an Elegance timepiece with the iconic Beads-Of-Rice bracelet.
