Oliver Tree Is Playing a Show in Antarctica
A longtime dream for the Santa Cruz artist.
Oliver Tree will be venturing far beyond his hometown of Santa Cruz, California, for an upcoming show. In a recent interview with Billboard, the indie artist spoke about the next steps following the release of his third studio album, Alone in a Crowd.
Tree revealed that, at the end of the year, he’ll be heading to Antarctica to perform.
“It’s finally happening at the end of this year,” he said. “I get to finally go to Antarctica and I can’t say too much about it, but I will say that I’m finally making the dream come to life. It’s a long time coming.”
He described the Antarctica show as “a long time coming,” having spoken about his dream in prior interviews.
In 2021, Tree told Audacy about how he was aiming to work towards playing in Antarctica eventually. “It’s harder than you think. You’ve got to play at the army base,” he said at the time.
