Megan Thee Stallion Teases New Music After Going Independent
The rapper recently settling a lawsuit against her former record label.
Megan Thee Stallion may be delivering some new music for her fans sometime soon. The rapper took to social media earlier this month to share three Instagram posts that spell out “ACT ONE,” with each post segueing into a carousel of photos and video clips.
On Monday, Megan returned to social media to continue dropping hints about potential new music. A video posted to X features a close-up of the rapper’s mouth speaking.
“Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past,” she says in the video.
The clip briefly shows a snake bearing its fangs and closes with the text, “a story by Megan Thee Stallion.”

Fans are still eagerly anticipating word of when Megan plans to put out the music but given all the hype she’s garnering ahead of any release, it’s likely she has more than just a single up her sleeve.
The last full-length project the rapper shared was her sophomore album, 2022’s Traumazine. She also recently settled her lawsuit against her record label 1501 Certified Entertainment and told fans she is currently operating as an independent artist, giving her the freedom to put out new music when she chooses.
