Professor.E Focuses on Artisanal Processes With Its FW22 Collection

Reimagining its ONE-OFF series as “Forgotten Materials.”

Returning for Fall/Winter 2022, Professor.E repositioned its approach to the creation of wares with its latest seasonal range. Focusing on artisanal processes, the FW22 collection explores manual features through traditional hand-woven fabrics and dyeing to produce a new outlook of evocative styling. Aside from the repeated techniques, the Taiwanese label also investigated the art of Boro craft and the forging of hardware.

Continuing the repositioning, Professor.E has reimagined its original ONE-OFF series as “Forgotten Materials.” The advancement of the design philosophy aims to create a narrative platform, interpreting the allusions and anecdotes that have been passed down orally. Developing a form of garment storytelling that places regional characteristics formed by geographical, cultural, and other factors at the forefront. The forgotten or eliminated skills and services provide greater perspectives that can now be incorporated into the evergrowing design vocabulary of Professor.E.
