Chicago-based object designer Benjamin Edgar is adding to his catalog of seamless creations with a new incense bowl.
Crafted from solid milled aluminum, the latest creation expands upon the first version of Edgar’s classic incense bowl. The piece was inspired by burning Japanese Shoyeido incense and features a brushed finish. Once filled with sand, the bowl serves as the perfect spot to hold incense and catch any falling ash.
With an industrial aesthetic, each piece may have slight machining marks and is meant to acquire dents, scratches and more over time to shape its character. Weighing in at 3.5 pounds, the product is finished off with a leather bottom and label stamp.
Priced at $180 USD, Benjamin Edgar’s solid milled aluminum incense bowl is available now online.
