Since its inception in 2004, Leeum Museum of Art has been attracting visitors from all corners of the world with a significant collection of works by seminal Korean artists as well as international pieces of outstanding contemporary art. The sprawling museum features distinctive facilities that were designed by world-renowned architects Mario Botta, Jean Nouvel and Rem Koolhaas to showcase outstanding programming that bridges the East to the West.

The museum is currently working with acclaimed curator and artistic director of Acute Art, Daniel Birnbaum, to launch a dynamic new exhibition entitled Kaleidoscope Eyes that will allow attendees to interact with artworks using cutting-edge technologies with HypeArt as the exclusive media partner. “The focus of this show is the limitless, and yet unfathomable possibility that new media (e.g. AR) can bring to the world of contemporary art, as it expands the realm of creative experimentation for artists, and changes our preconceptions of the conventional viewer/visitor experience,” said Leeum Museum of Art in a statement.

For those unfamiliar with Acute Art, the platform works with renowned international artists to produce and exhibition cutting-edge visual artworks in virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality. Past collaborations include Marina Abramović, Nathalie Djurberg & Hans Berg, Olafur Eliasson, Antony Gormley, Anish Kapoor, Bjarne Melgaard, Jeff Koons, KAWS and more globally-recognized artists.

Kaleidoscope Eyes will be open to the public starting September 2. Stay tuned for more updates on our media partnership.
