Ralph Lauren returned for the Fall/Winter 2022 season with a reflection of classic American luxury. What made the recent fashion show all the more inviting was Lauren’s decision to turn a gallery at the Museum of Modern Art into a replica of his living room.

Guests like Janelle Monaé, Henry Golding, Jessica Chastain and more sat in the glamorous, yet classic comfort of Lauren’s living room that included black leather lounge chairs, matching coffee tables and pictures that showcased the views of Central Park that are present in Lauren’s real apartment. Beyond the intimate atmosphere, Lauren’s new collection served as a reminder of his skillset for timeless, classic and tailored garments.

Staying in tune with the brand’s ethos, collection garments were largely fit for black-tie evenings including suits, tuxedos, body complimenting gowns, trousers and more. Formal offerings like suits and tuxedos featured classic solid and pinstripe designs in black and navy, while eye-catching blazers arrived in crimson red and white. Additional suiting and knee-length coats featured both plaid and houndstooth fabrics.

For moments that call for clean, yet casual looks, the collection put forth several crewneck sweaters that featured plaid prints and the signature Ralph Lauren teddy bear. Elsewhere in the collection were womenswear pieces like regal gowns, contemporary pantsuits, skirts and blouses with ribbon attachments.

Check out the gallery above for a look at the collection that is set to arrive later this year.
