Netflix Launching Daily Interactive Game Show Based on 'Trivia Crack'
‘Trivia Quest’ will premiere on April 1.
Netflix is launching a daily interactive game show, dubbed Trivia Quest, based on the popular Etermax app Trivia Crack.
Beginning April 1, the streaming giant will release one new episode daily throughout the month, with a total of 30 episodes. Each episode will include 24 multiple-choice questions — 12 standard and 12 “hard” questions — across a variety of topics including science, history, entertainment, sports, art and geography.
Aside from simply answering trivia questions, viewers will be tasked with helping an animal character named Willy save the animated citizens of Trivia Land from a ruthless villain named Evil Rocky. Upon acing a daily quiz, viewers will be able to slowly release prisoners from Evil Rocky’s hold as they reach different checkpoints throughout the series.
Additionally, viewers will have the ability to replay quizzes in order to get the correct answers and continue earning points.
“Each quiz also features a definitive ending but we don’t want to tell you too much about that just yet,” writes Andy Weil, VP of Comedy Series and Interactive Programming at Netflix, in a blog post.
Trivia Quest will launch on April 1 on smart TVs, streaming media players, game consoles, computer browsers, Android phones and tablets, iPhones, iPads and iPod touches. Watch the trailer above.
In case you missed it, Jack Harlow will make his acting debut in the upcoming White Men Can’t Jump remake.
