AJOBYAJO Taps 50s' Sex Symbol Marilyn Monroe in New Capsule
In a lineup of T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, and jeans.
Following the release of its Spring/Summer 2022 “Boys Can Cry” collection, AJOBYAJO has returned with a Marilyn Monroe collaboration capsule collection. The latest lookbook features models irrespective of age and gender photographed with the concept of “I am good, but I am no angel,” one of Marilyn Monroe’s infamous sayings that reflected her influence as a sex symbol. “We wanted to convey the story that anyone can be a sex symbol to someone,” the Korean imprint explains.
Comprising everyday apparel from sweatshirts to pants, the latest lineup leads with two coach jackets in beige and dark purple printed with pictures of Monroe at the beach and her iconic white subway dress. Other key pieces include nylon sweatshirts and T-shirts coming in colorways of black, white, green, blue, gray, and more adorned with monochrome images of the American actress completed with her autograph. Rounding off the range is the denim jean decorated with Monroe’s face on the back pocket and her figure at the leg, available in black and navy.
Priced at ₩54,000 KRW (approximately $45 USD) for the MM Signature T-shirt to ₩166,000 KRW (approximately $136 USD) for the MM Coach Jacket, the Marilyn Monroe x AJOBYAJO Capsule Collection is now available on the brand’s website.
