MANKIND Showcases Its "Jocular Cirque" Exploration for SS22
Marked by bright and bold flourishes.

Returning for Spring/Summer 2022, Bandung, Indonesia-based label MANKIND has returned with its latest collection. Continuing its aesthetic based around previous eras, the seasonal range is marked by cuts and details that serve to obscure the boundaries between fashion, art and culture itself.
Titled “Jocular Cirque,” the SS22 collection explores a range of characters, themes, images and stories through visual expressions. The motifs decorate a host of elevated streetwear essentials and cut-and-sew designs that showcase craftsmanship.
MANKIND notes that its offerings tell “a story about humans itself. Civilization, culture, dignity, suffering, prosperity, winning and losing, all of the things that made us human and shaped our humanity.” The striking dyed fabrics, embroidery, printed graphics and patterns come found in the SS22 collection come together as an homage to MANKIND’s native Indonesia in both history and diversity.
