Following the launch of its Comet.22 Explore “Pre-order” series, Taiwanese label GOOPiMADE announced its first collaboration with G-SHOCK based on the iconic AW-500 series, which debuted in 1989.

The latest iteration follows the theme of “Without APEX,” which interprets the future imagined by the past to push quality forward. It retains the impressive details of the AW-500’s matte black finish, the coexistence of hands and electronics, and its simple, sleek, rounded watch profile with ridge-less contours that are in stark contrast with G-SHOCK’s established image. The curved bezel contains multiple function buttons, while the round face features a scale and 24H time. One side of the strap is adorned with the GOOPiMADE logo, whereas the other side sees the quote, “MY SPIRIT SOARS WHERE THE AIR THINS,” which symbolizes the desire for higher standards and the determination to break through to the next level.

Priced at $4,280 TWD (approximately $150 USD), the GOOPiMADE x G-SHOCK “Without APEX” AW-500BBGO limited edition was released on February 14 and is now sold out. Stay tuned for more on the official website.
