Celebrated throughout the years for offering quality basics, UNIQLO U, led by French designer Christophe Lemaire, returns for Spring/Summer 2022.

This year’s collection, titled “The Rhythm of Spring,” offers a range of loose-fitting daily wear in soft natural tones of sage green, sand, light navy with bright oranges and vermilions as accents. Tried and true silhouettes such as AIRism cotton tees, linen shirts, and selvedge jeans make a return while fresh introductions such as drawstring shoulder bags, French rib cardigans, hooded blousons, baker pants, and knit slip-ons are added into the mix.

In a designer Q&A held by UNIQLO, Christophe Lemaire revealed the concept behind the longstanding series and this year’s collection. “Our goal is to be a functional and universal essential item that does not interfere with movement, can be used for a long time, and brings solutions to everyday life,” said Lemaire. “This time, we pursued comfort and lightness, and devised a way to blow in a new breeze.”

The collection will be available on January 28 on the UNIQLO website and physical stores worldwide. A wide spectrum of sizes are available for men, women, and kids. Take a look at the full collection details on UNIQLO’s website.
