Steven Harrington recently partnered with Cross Studio and Medicom Toy on three different BE@RBRICK iterations. The acclaimed California artist has followed up on the last release with a new figurine made of solid pewter metal.

The figure was made in conjunction with Royal Selangor, a company founded in 1885 and has since shown to be one of the world’s premier craftsman of pewter goods. Standing at roughly a foot tall, the limited BE@RBRICK was made to commemorate legendary toy dealer, ActionCity on its 21st Anniversary. “Being my first time working with metal, I couldn’t be more satisfied with the hand-crafted construction,” Harrington told Hypebeast.

Sculpture has been an intriguing part of the artist’s oeuvre over the past decade. From various editions with Case Studyo to massive statues made for his last two exhibitions and work across China.

The pewter BE@RBRICK will be available within the U.S. on Saturday, October 3 via Harrington’s Early Art-Drop List. For those in Singapore, be sure to check out ActionCity’s Instagram and Facebook for the release time and date.

Elsewhere, Fred Tschida will unveil a luminous new exhibition in the UK.
