HANON and Umbro's "Carbon 92" Pack Pays Homage to a Classic Scottish Football Kit
By reworking a memorable shirt from the early ’90s in monochromatic form and paring it with a set of slides.
HANON has teamed up with Umbro for a special “Carbon 92” pack made up of a jersey and set of slides. Inspired by a classic Scottish national team football kit from the early ’90s — one that the team wore during their run as the top qualifying team for the EURO ‘92 cup — the “Carbon 92” jersey retains the distinctive prints and abstract patterns of its predecessor but swaps out the original shirt’s bright colors for a monochromatic look.
The jersey uses two main shades of gray: a light gray that serves as the base tone and a slightly darker wolf gray for its repeating print. Large black slashes run across the upper chest and shoulders, while HANON and Umbro hits are present in front of the left and right shoulders, respectively. From a fit standpoint, the jersey offers a looser cut, drop arm sleeve, ribbed collar with a button closure and an internal placket. Sandals replicate the jersey’s jagged black pattern and feature a molded EVA foam footbed for comfort. The entire assemblage comes packaged in a custom tote bag with red and purple embellishments, a nod to the color of the original jersey.
Look for the HANON x Umbro “Carbon 92” pack to release exclusively on the HANON webstore via an online raffle, which runs until May 28 at 12 PM BST. The MSRP is set at £95 GBP (approximately $134 USD).
