In another round of surprising performers, Rick Ross graced the NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert stage with a high-energy six-track set.

Recorded in the gallery space of Rozay’s longtime friend and collaborator, Rich B Caliente, this appearance is only the second instance wherein the rapper is performing with a live band. He’s joined by DJ Sam Sneak, Thaddaeus Tribbett on bass, Monty Reynolds on keys Elijah Blake and Troy Tyler on vocals and Rashid Williams on drums, and the group smoothly run through the tracks “Super High,” ”B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast),” “Aston Martin Music,” ”I’m Not A Star,” ”F*ckwithmeyouknowigotit” and ”Tears of Joy.”

The Boss’ appearance is part of NPR Music Tiny Desk’s Black History Month celebration, which will see both emerging and well-known artists. “This celebration highlights the beautiful cornucopia of Black music and our special way of presenting it,” the caption read. “We hope you enjoy.”
