One Piece x Seiko 5 Sports Limited Edition Series Inspired By Straw Hat Pirates
Watches for Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Law and Sabo.
Seiko has given the One Piece pirates a Street Style makeover for its new collaboration with the Manga mainstay.
Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Law and Sabo each inspire a limited edition Seiko 5 Sports watch.
The steam released by aspiring Pirate King Luffy when he unleashes his Gears is depicted on the dial and silicone strap, while the increasing size of the bezel scale markings illustrates his increasing power. The famous scar under his left eye is stamped into the crown.
Luffy’s trusted swordsman, Zoro, is represented with “the image of a sword slashing with Arms Haki” on the dial and the three V-shaped notches on the bezel representing his three swords.
Sanji, the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates, brings a series of debossed footprints to the dial of his watch, a reminder of his powerful kicks, developed to preserve his hands for culinary pursuits.
Law’s watch takes its spotted pattern from his hat, with a secret “D” initial hidden on the dial and a cross taken from his favorite sword stamped into the crown while the dial of Sabo’s watch features a flare pattern representing his flame fist attack.
Each watch in the series is limited to 5,000 individually numbered pieces and is presented in a matching box.
The One Piece x Seiko 5 Sports series drops in November via Seiko, with prices starting at £390 GBP (approximately $536 USD).
