Pantone has given free access to its Pantone Connect application. The company has joined the growing list of entities who have been making their software more accessible, like Apple’s 90-day free trial of Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X or Adobe’s free access to Photoshop and InDesign for high school students.

Pantone Connect is a tool on Adobe Creative Cloud that allows the user to efficiently filter through Patone’s vast catalog of palettes, cross-reference between different color-code systems and easily convert RGB, Hex and CMYK values to the nearest palettes — it’s an essential application for designers. The new offer is meant to aid designers who are working from home amid the current COVID-19 epidemic: the company took to Instagram with the quote “Adversity often inspires the greatest creativity” in hopes of encouraging users. Those who are already subscribed to the service have been “accredited” three extra months to their accounts.

Simply head over to Pantone’s website to install the software.

In case you haven’t heard, Nikon is offering free online photography classes this month.
