Bombay Sapphire Enlists Local Artists for New Street Mural Series Across the UK

Starting with Matt Sloe from Edinburgh.

Building on its art and creativity-focussed campaign that launched last year, gin purveyor Bombay Sapphire has launched a bold new series that celebrates the vibrant street art community in cities across the UK. Local street artists have been tasked with interpreting Bombay Sapphire‘s “Stir Creativity” message in their own style and incorporating elements and inspiration from their home towns. Accompanied by the tag line “Discover the Possibilities Within,” each design will explore the themes of inspiration and boundless creativity with a series of films looking at how each artist translates this sentiment.

“From day one, the brand has always done things differently, working with artists, architects and designers.” Says Victoria Morris, Global VP of Bombay Sapphire. “But you don’t have to be an artist to be creative. That’s why we are on a mission to Stir Creativity. We want to inspire more people than ever to tap into their own creative spirit.”

First up is Matt Sloe, an artist hailing from Edinburgh, Scotland. Check out the film above to get a sense of how he approached his mural. Tapping into his cartoonish, playful style, Matt Sloe’s design features nautical characters exploring the Bombay Sapphire bottle, with its iconic blue glass, on the sea floor.

To find out more about the campaign, head to the Bombay Sapphire channel, and keep your eyes peeled for other murals by artists coming soon.
