The accessories have been designed by Virgil Abloh and point to a new direction for the luxury French atelier. Its bags are standout future classics, with pieces such as the flower-covered Keepall, green grass-like soft trunk and blue mesh Keepall showcasing a fusion of both contemporary and classic designs.
Elsewhere, Louis Vuitton presents a number of exotic leather bags, most notably seen via the purple box cross-body bag, black clutch and grey duffle. A number of the bags feature the metal hardware that is now synonymous with Virgil Abloh’s direction for Louis Vuitton, too.
Louis Vuitton also presents a new jewelry collection including standout pieces such as blue ceramic ring and new Cuban link pieces adorned with baroque-indebted detailing and an all-around LV monogram. The house’s Millionaire sunglasses have been updated with new pastel hues including pale green, yellow, baby pink and blue, with new offerings appearing in luxe marble-esque finishes.
Rounding out the SS20 accessories collection are two scarves, a pair of racing-inspired gloves, a bucket hat and bold monogrammed leather baseball cap, and a pair of chunky sneakers. The sneaker draws design cues from Louis Vuitton’s archives as it features the luggage tag attached to the top eyelet. The pair is finished with trail-like elements, seen via the rope lacing system, rugged sole unit and mesh-suede mix construction.
