Y-3 Blends Traditional Tailoring and Progressive Textiles With Two Elongated Jackets
Featuring a multi-colored track jacket and monochromatic long coat.
Y-3 continues to refine functional garments with billowing cuts and technical fabrics. Seen through Yohji Yamamoto‘s unique design lens, the label has released a duo of elongated silhouettes, both set in color and in monochrome.
First up is the red Oversized Varsity Track Jacket, made with various colored panels in red, orange, white and black. The jacket is constructed with a premium heavyweight jersey weave and features a large stand collar that flares out when unzipped. The back features a large Y-3 appliqué logo in shades of white and black, while the sleeves are graced with adidas‘ three stripes motif.
Finally, the M3 STP Reversible Coat comes in a stealthy black shade, crafted in wool from a felted weave. The piece teeters between a sleek long coat and a technical parka, pairing classic details like a thick waist belt with sleeves and a lining made from nylon. Concealed under the outer front opening, the central zip connects to an inner track jacket that’s marked with three white vertical stripes. Other details like snap buttons at the collar and a branded zipper round up the design.
The Y-3 M3 STP Reversible Coat and Oversized Varsity Track Jacket are currently available at LN-CC for $1,100 and $430, respectively.
