'Stranger Things' Is Releasing a Mobile Game Set to Rival ‘Pokémon GO’
Arriving 2020.
With its third season slated to debut next month, Stranger Things continues to make headlines with its upcoming projects.
Following the announcement of a collaborative Nike capsule that celebrates the 80’s, the sci-fi hit show will be releasing a mobile game set to rival Pokémon GO.
During E3, Netflix revealed that a Stranger Things mobile game is set to arrive in 2020. Although details surrounding the forthcoming project remain scarce, what we do know is that the game will include 12 playable characters including the powerful and mysterious Eleven.
According to Comic Book, panelist Christopher Lee described the game as an RPG-puzzle hybrid that utilizes location-based technology (Google Maps) and will allow players to “explore The Upside Down hidden around them in their daily travels and work with fellow fans to fight back its emerging evils.”
The Stranger Things mobile game will be made available for both iOS and Android and has been developed in partnership with Finnish studio Next Games. Keep it locked here for more details when they surface.
