Baby Goth Throws a Party in "Mary" Video
She’s also going on tour with Kodie Shane starting next month.
Baby Goth shares the video for “Mary,” the second single from her upcoming EP, BABY, which drops Feb. 15. The song twists the classic nursery rhyme by Buddy Guy and Lowell Mason “Mary Had a Little Lamb,” into a trap-infused record. In the Deion Deshazier-directed video, Baby Goth is seen with some pet animals as she plays in the mud and throws a house party with her friends.
“When I first came to L.A. I was able to get a meeting with Hitway after he found me on Instagram and I needed to demonstrate my vocals,” she told HYPEBEAST. “I chose to sing Mary Had a Little Lamb so we eventually ended up creating one of my first tracks to the tune and named it Mary. I co-wrote this with Boom, who also drafted the first beat. Then we had our producers DjFu, Staccato, and Baby Winch add their spin. I shot the video with Purple Skyline in my home state, Texas, and invited some of my old friends from High School to be in the big party scene.”
The buzzing new artist previously released “Swimming” featuring Trippie Redd and Lil Xan. Starting next month, Baby Goth will be heading on the road with Kodie Shane for a string of dates, check out the full routing below. Watch “Mary” above.
