Vince Staples Tears North Carolina’s Homophobic Legislature Apart
“All you homophobes need to go buy some Alexander Wang & listen to some Frank Ocean.”
The divisive transgender bathroom laws in North Carolina have generated some serious controversy for their violation of Title IX, which is meant to protect all citizens from education discrimination based on their sex. A string of actors, writers, public figures and musicians have spoken out on the issue, and the latest to join the conversation is Vince Staples. Last night, the Long Beach rapper jumped on Twitter to denounce the discriminatory laws and stand with the LGBTQ community in North Carolina. “If it was up to me you could poop in whichever bathroom you wanted,” Vince declared, citing some expectedly negative responses from other users. “All you homophobes need to go buy some Alexander Wang & listen to some Frank Ocean to get cha swag up, you losing,” he clapped back. “When you look at a bottle of Sprite you don’t see race, gender, or orientation. You just see lemons and limes.” Check out his tweets below.
Shoutout 2 the whole LBGTQ here in North Carolina. If it was up to me you could poop in whichever bathroom you wanted. #equality #peequality

If you didn’t hate gay people they would be able to tell you that the hair on your chin is not a good look https://t.co/Mm77w2dq2e
