JOEGUSH's "REMA-KOUTURE" FW18 Explores The Boundaries of Rework Design
Dominated by patchwork styling.
Defining itself as a “remake brand,” fledgling Seoul-based label JOEGUSH recently unveiled its latest rework designs with a new Fall/Winter 2018 lookbook.
Titled “REMA-KOUTURE,” the expansive collection continues the exploration of the handcrafted aesthetic that has helped JOEGUSH carve out its own place within the emerging Korean fashion scene. Informed by the style codes of past punk movements and Americana-tinged alternative rock, “REMA-KOUTURE” is dominated by patchwork done with defiance towards balance and order, as upcycled shreds of fabric are haphazardly tacked onto camo bases. Some notable items include the customized M-65 Jacket, one-off Crazy Mixed Hoodies and asymmetric, distressed Keith Jeans. JOEGUSH’s signature tassel accessory is also reissued in an array of colored goat suede complete with metal clips.
Check out the lookbook above and expect the “REMA-KOUTURE” FW18 collection to release online on October 1.
