Vancouver musician Grimes sat down with the folks at DAZED recently for an interview, and in the conversation, reveals that her album is dropping in October. She describes the new direction she is taking with the LP, how it focuses more on political issues and is less abstract than her previous material. I feel like it’s more about the Earth. I think I was more in society when I was making it, so it feels more grounded … I think my music used to be more escapist. Visions didn’t really acknowledge reality, but this record is more about looking reality in the face.”
